Board Public Hearing on Special Tax

In compliance with California State Law, notice is hereby given that the Monroeville Water District (MWD or District) will conduct a public hearing on:

June 24, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. via teleconference to consider the adoption of a special tax in the amount of $5.29 per acre annually beginning with the 2020-21 Fiscal Year to fund operations of the MWD. The special tax will be submitted to the voters of the District, and it will be levied only if two-thirds of the votes cast by the voters approve it.

Public Hearing:

Interested persons are invited to attend and be heard at the Public Hearing. Testimony may be presented in person or submitted in written form prior to the hearing and made a part of the hearing record.

 

MODIFIED BROWN ACT PROCEDURES IN LIGHT OF COVID-19:

In compliance with CA Executive Orders N-25-20 and N-20-20, members of the Board of Directors and members of the public are suggested to participate in this meeting via teleconference. During this period of modified Brown Act Requirements, the District will use best efforts to swiftly resolve requests for reasonable modifications or accommodations with individuals with disabilities, consistent with American Disabilities Act, and resolving nay doubt whatsoever in favor of accessibility.
